Marco Polo Program
An international recruitment program called "Marco Polo" was launched in 2000 and was considered as
a significant way to anticipate recruitment needs in order to support Schneider Electric growth ambitions,
promote market globalization, comply with technological development in products, prepare for changes in customer
profile and be able to face changes in the recruitment market.
Since it was launched, more than 470 people from 61 different nationalities have participated in the program globally.
It offers you the opportunity to discover Schneider Electric abroad, gaining experience in a multi-cultural environment.
At the end of your assignment, you would continue your professional career within Schneider Electric Greece.

Marco Polo Profile
Marco Polo candidates must possess the following characteristics:
degree from a top engineering / business school or university
desire and capacity to work in a foreign country (now and in the future)
knowledge of several foreign languages, including fluent English
natural leadership skills
ability to develop internal and external partnerships
capacity to work on cross-functional projects

Goals for Marco Polo Participants
Although Marco Polo Participants can work in different functions and receive a conventional position or a special assignment / project, they should strive to:
get to know the cultural and technological environment of the Group
develop their leadership skills and functional expertise
create international partnerships within Schneider Electric
Mentor
The mentor is a contact in the home country for the Marco Polo participant and has the following responsibilities:
Preassignment / Commencement meeting
Communicates with participant on a regular basis
Communicates with host manager on a regular basis
Formulation of next assignment
Host Country Supervisor
The host country supervisor is in charge of evaluating the performance of the Marco Polo participant.
